Hi. I have a question regarding EI. Hopefully someone can help, I do plan to call to get clarification.

I work for a company that laid off a shift in January. Back in June 2025 we were on rolling layoffs. I applied for EI then, but my shift only ever did one week. When I was laid off again the end of the previous claim was reactivated. I thought I had closed it but apparently I hadn’t. This claim ends May 30th. There has been a new ROE issued for the end of January. Between the previous ROE and the new one I’ve worked over 600 hours. Would I be able to start a new claim right away?
