Is it unprofessional to read at work?

I only do it when I have nothing to do, or I'm waiting for some feedbacks on my work. I'm also in a field where all my office hours are spent working on screens so I don't want to read on my phone (as some might suggest). I'm also constantly worried that my boss will walk in but honestly, there are times when I don't have work for days.
