Hello! I have two cats one Female (5) and one Male (2). The male kitty really struggles at night no matter where he is in my apartment (my bedroom or in the rest of my apartment). He screams literally all night (I wish I was exaggerating) and only stops when I wake up and hold him. He will start immediatly again after I go back to sleep.
He’s also been having urination problems in random places (coach pillows) and has other behaviors that lead me to think he has bad anxiety. I have three litter boxes out (all cleaned daily and large), each cat has their own food bowl and drinking bowl, and there is plenty of space in my apartment with lots of different toys that are regularly switched out and added.
It’s getting very hard to sleep every night with how much he is screaming and I hate to think about him not feeling well or lonely, what are some actions yall recommend? Does anyone have a similar experience
and found something/some course of action that has helped them? I know I should speak to the vet and I have, I just worry about getting him on medication purely because I feel bad and would love other options first if they exist. I would just love to help him no matter what the solution is. Thank you!🙂
