Why don't gym rats work out to have soft, squishy pecs? Are they stupid?

Having soft pecs would make the most sense, since it would contrast well with the strength and rigidness of their arm muscles, and as we all know, contrast makes things sweeter, as proven with adding some salt into baked goods. Having softness in the strength makes the most sense since a strong, muscular man could both coddle their SO with built in pillows, while having the strength to assure their partner that they're safe with him. After all, having strength in the softness has already proven its excellence by having a squishy body with the ability to have a soft squish with the strength to add to it. Muscular men having little to no softness would just be sleeping with an oversized brick in the bed. Why do gym rats not have soft pecs? Are they stupid?
