S2 Elena

Currently on s2ep19 (Klaus). Watching for the 1st time so I dont know what people think about certain characters. By far, my favourite most is ofcourse Queen Katherine 😁😁 and if I am being honest, my least favourite would be Elena (remarkable that its the same actress). I dont know what it is about her that just bothers me. I feel like she is a worse person than Katherine herself. All through s1 and s2 all the Katherine/Salvators brothers lore we found out painted Katherine in a certain way (that she like playing with both brothers but she loved 1 of them and more importantly always played them both against 1 another). BUT Elena is also doing that. CONSTANTLY. She loves the attention. She loves that Damon is pining for her. I feel like she is most certainly either going to cheat on Stefan or keep going between the 2 just like Katherine but worse. To me atp in the season Elena feels like a Katherine in training. I have felt this for all of s1 and s2. This man killed her brother, almost killed Bonnie, didnt give a damn about releasing 27 hungry asf vampires loose on the town because as long as he gets what he wants "collateral damage" is acceptable. And yet, this little good girl loves getting near him, calls him before she calls Stefan and now in this episode has also started making the sensual, eye thingy movments of Katherine (in the hallway scene where she is going back to meet Elijah)(when she was in Damon's room etc). Oh I also hate her treatment of Jenna (telling John you are my only parent left) really??? This girl is just a few yrs older than you and is trying soo hard for Elena/Jeremy but she treats her with little respect and trust. 😑😑

First Time Watcher

Just started watching TVD for the first time. Even though I am a younger millennial, i never watched it when it was on TV but I used to hear Damon damon damon everywhere so I was shocked that he is a villian. During my entire s1 watching all I wanted to see was Katherine. The hype man!!! Now I just reached the end of S1. I gotta tell ya I DIDNOT see that coming 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫🤯 (mind=blown)

Hi everyone. Just read SOTR after first rereading the original trilogy (chefs kiss as always), then read TBOSAS (an excellent read) and now this.

First the good: cried my eyes out over Louella & Lou Lou. Also Maysilee Donner, fell in love with her and then cried my eyes out. Effie perfect too.

Bad: Everything else was meh!! Its not canon for me. I especially hated that epilogue. Without it , the book could be good but that epilogue leaves a sour taste in my mouth. It felt like a cheap attempt to forcibly connect the story to Katniss and Lucy Gray. Everything else was fine, not great. My biggest problem with SOTR is how Haymitch comes across. Wasnt Haymitch supposed to be exactly like Katniss?? Katniss had 1 thought in her head and that was survival (her own and her family's and then Peeta's). She never even began to think about flouting the Capitol or breaking the games. Being a rebel was the last thing she wanted to do. But being a rebel was the 1st thing Haymitch wanted to do. He didnot think about his own survival or his family's survival at all during the games. He only thought about breaking the games. He never once thought how his actions might affect his family until the after party. Im sorry but i fail to understand his similarity with Katniss. Ofcourse I can see how Katniss might think that because the edited games that she saw showed Haymitch exaclty like she was. Run, dont look back, no allies, no kills unless self-defense. Also, seeing as how managed and controlled the broadcast was for Haymitch games, i fail to see how during Katniss' games, many of her defiant moments were shown. 😔

I like TBOSAS because it doesnt dislodge the original trilogy but this one does and that bothers me. Just my small rant. 😁
