Not a physics student. In poli sci but I have a philosophy class that wants us to explain GR on an exam.

Im a bit confused but working through it, but I had a question.

Could I think about the way that gravity makes matter curve in spacetime like how a plane appears to be flying in a massive arc when the exact route is drawn on a flat map?
