My experience with Xulane
Hello! I have been on Xulane patches for about a year now and wanted to share my experience.
I went on Xulane because I wanted to try a birth control with a higher estrogen amount because my body was not reacting well to low-estrogen forms. I also wanted a birth control that I didn’t need to take every day.
I just want to say that I have absolutely loved my experience! No break-thru bleeding. No weight gain. No hair loss. No noticeable mood changes. No acne. I noticed some mild headaches in the beginning but nothing too severe. When I do get my period, I still have painful cramps but not as bad. I will say, I still bleed quite heavily, so it is not a birth control to take if you’re looking for lighter periods. BUT it is very easy to skip periods as well.

Edit: If you are like me and do not have insurance, Xulane might be expensive out-of-pocket. The most budget friendly way I’ve found to get patches are to have prescriptions sent to my local Walgreens through online services, such as Wisp, and then use a Good RX savings card. Gets it down to about 40$ a month.
