I didn't cry after reading A Thousand Splendid Suns
The book left my heart churning, most of the time, I cried after reading the first 128 pages. And I completed it over a course of 6 days. I slowly digested the unfair life of Mariam, had come to terms with it, so much so that, when she was executed, I felt a sense of relief that she finally was leaving a life of suffering and pain. Is that correct, I could see everyone on the internet crying which made me sad to think that I couldn't bring myself to cry. Is there anyone who experienced this?
