My surgery is scheduled for Tuesday. I am fully remote so I was planning on just taking the day off.

I have two kids, a 2 and a half year old and a 3 month old. Our daycare recently reduced their days so they’ll be home most days.

An I being unrealistic to not take time off work? I am returning from 12 weeks of maternity leave this week, so I feel terrible about having to take more time off so soon.

My partner also has limited PTO and we have no family in the state who could help. He could take a day, possibly two days off. Is this unrealistic?
