Recently I heard good things about Ren Jia Lun acting in this sub. I like to watch one good show that he was the main lead. Please recommend one show that you think it's the best one in terms of acting and writing.

I can watch any genre except sci-fi and pure romance. If it's just romance only like The Best Thing or Love Me Love My Voice, I will get bored and end up fast forwarding a lot.

I don't care visuals and I will care less about cinematography if it was an older show. But don't recommend anything that older than 8 years.

The drama had tons of scenes leak during filming, which makes me so excited to watch it. That said, it’ll probably take more than a year before it's officiallt released… so I guess we’ll just have to be patient 😭

Synopsis (from MDL)

During the period of the Republic of China, amidst the fragmentation caused by the warlords, Ye Ping Jun, a student, takes a job at a meeting house in western Hunan to raise money for her mother's medical treatment. On her first day of work, she finds herself involved in an attempted assassination against the fifth son of the Yu family. Wrongfully accused, she makes a bet with Yu Chang Xuan: he has ten days to find the true culprit. Yu Chang Xuan sees this as an opportunity to get closer to Ye Ping Jun and begins courting her, although he hides his true intentions.
