Starting on Progesterone
Hey everyone. Semi-recently progesterone was added to my treatment plan and I've been having a little bit of an issue when adjusting to it. When first started, I took it orally right before bed since I heard it can make you drowsy. The next day I was feeling semi drowsy still and almost felt sedated, intense brain fog, fuzzy head feeling, even vision feeling a little different like it takes a moment to focus when turning my head.
This continued for every day that I took it orally so I skipped a day, that day feeling much better, then feeling the same when I resumed. I attempted the alternative way to take the pill (the less appealing way) to see if that would help. I did notice that the side effects were lessensed, however it still left me feeling a bit sedated, just less so than before, same kinda feelings and changes.
I checked with the doctor of course who just seemed a little confused but not overly concerned. Is this something that commonly happens when the body gets used to the hormone? Will this sensation fade over time?
Thanks for any and all insights!
