Who do I need to ask to get more BlueBikes in Southie? They are so clutch when they work but 9 times out of 10 I complete my trip late at night and find the closest parking is a 15 minute walk away. The screenshot was taken during one of those instances at 10:45 pm at some point within the last year and the three closest docks to East Broadway were all full. I can’t justify buying a membership if I can’t even use them properly.
I know Ed Flynn had some hearings 2 years ago that ended in them ridiculously shooting down any additional docks. I was new to the neighborhood so I didn’t exactly know how dire the situation was otherwise I would’ve attended because it’s ridiculous. There is data backing up the demand for more docks.
I just want to revive those discussions because giving up means they win without us ever being heard. The SouthieBikes group looks like they’re no longer active and I know they were a large proponent for it. I’m tired of bitching about it sucking and want to do something.
