Hi, I am wondering if removing a Beavertail is a good approach for my build. I have a rifle that will be using an AR pistol grip mount, but a Beavertail won't be possible on the rifle. I do not currently have any AR pistol grips or mounts, so I don't have something to compare this to in order to get my answer. I am not in the USA so I need to get both the grip and mount imported at the same time so buying it and testing it out is an expensive approach.
The pistol grip I want is pictured first, and my rifle's mount is pictured second. What I want to know is if I cleanly remove the Beavertail, will the back of the pistol grip be somewhat flush with the mount, or will there be a bunch of extra material left behind because of the Beavertail removal?
Thanks! Hope this is an appropriate post for the page being that it's for an AR spec pistol grip.
