Hi,
I’m building a plunge pool (10x14) and I’m looking at ways to waterproof. While tiling is an (expensive) option, I’m looking at other methods and came across Diamond Brite. It seems that the exposed aggregate makes it more forgiving than regular plaster. I know many have said it’s a no go for amateurs, but it seems a lot of that is due to the size of the pool and creating seams and streaks from time constraints. Wouldn’t it be less of an issue on a smaller pool?
I *did* try to get a professional to do it but everyone seems to have a minimum job price, no matter the size. So even for a 10x14, I was quoted $12k
If anyone has other suggestions for waterproofing, I’m all ears. (Pool is CMU block with concrete shell)
Thank you!
