Does anyone want three tickets to the Zach theater NORTH presentation of campfire for kids 0-5 at 4PM TODAY?

It’s only an hour from now but my kiddo is coming down sick and we have two adult tickets and one kids ticket already paid for… DM me your email or phone number and I’ll try to forward you the tickets right away.

Hi, my family is headed to Cape Cod in early June. We’re flying into the Boston Logan airport on Saturday and meeting up with the rest of the family on Sunday afternoon in Wellfleet, and need somewhere to stay in-between on Saturday night. We’re two adults and a one-year-old.

Ideally it would be somewhere easy to drive into on Saturday night where we could grab dinner, and then hang out and stroll around Sunday morning until about noon when we’d drive to Wellfleet.

I’d considered Woods Hole because I was obsessed with the oceanographic institute as a kid and have never been and the town looks lovely, but all the hotels are a two-night minimum.

I’ve looked at Falmouth because maybe we could pop over to Woods Hole but the hotels seem a little dodgy?

I als looked at Plymouth because maybe that’s an easy starting point?

Or maybe there’s somewhere else along the way that I should be looking at!

Share your wisdom please!

Currently living in Austin, Texas, and planning the big move. Here’s where we’re at—

Our family:

two adults, one child and another on the way… planning to move in October 2027 when kids would be 1 & 2.5 years old.

Finances:

we’re looking at a coastfire sort of plan… we’ll have decent savings with retirement accounts fully funded and about 500k in liquid savings.

Citizenship:

I was recognized as a dual citizen by jure sanguinis back in 2021… I have a passport however my comune (Varese Ligure) has not transcribed my paperwork so it’s been a huge holdup trying to get more documentation for myself and my family to help with the move. ANY ADVICE HERE APPRECIATED.

Work:

My husband has a great but moderately stressful job that he would trade for a position with one of the contractors he currently works with that had a footprint in Italy. Nothing set in stone, but hoping for around USD$100k/year. I’m currently staying home with the kids, but I have a decent background in teaching languages… so maybe something could come of that.

Language:

We are native English speakers. I studied Spanish for many years and speak C1 Spanish. I also took 2 years of Italian im college and have been messing around with Italian classes online. My husband previously studied German, but I think he massively underestimates the language burden we would face as immigrants. I think the kids would be so little learning the new language shouldn’t be too hard. What do you think?

Location:

We’re looking at Alto-Adige, specifically Bolzano or Trento but open to other areas… we keep coming back to this area for the high ranking of quality of life for families. There is a Waldorf school called Piccolo Principe that I am particularly interested in… but I have no idea about the costs or matriculation process.

Our goal:

To stay for at least two years, so that everyone can become citizens and we can decide if this is a life we can sustain and be happy with long term.

What do you think? Any advice? Other subreddits I should check out?

Thanks so much…
