How viable is the list in Strosstruppen warband box?
I’m super new to Trench Crusade: always vaguely aware of it, but i’m mainly a 40k player so never picked it up. The other day i found the Strosstruppen Warband box in my LGS and thought they looked cool as hell, so bought them just to build and paint. After looking into the lore and rules though, i’m really interested in getting into the actual tabletop aspect as well. There’s a narrative campaign kicking off at another LGS in my city next month which i’d like to try, but due to my schedule and lack of people to play with, the first game of the campaign is likely to be my first game period.
So my question is this: is the suggested build for the warband actually useable? As a Blood Angels player in 40K i’m all about charging, and i think the mental image of a bunch of Prussian lads charging across No Man’s Land with an axe in one hand and club in the other is really cool. But are there any changes that make the loadout of the units better? And any tips for how to run them; specifically what Fireteam set up to use?
