Finally leaving the peugeot family.

Finally after 2 peugeot cars I decided to swap to something else.

My first one was 2019 308 with Puretech.

Good:

- Engine was actually peppy for its size.

- Ok ride quality

Bad:

- Engine had some issues with overheating which had caused to misfire occasionally. it was cooking spark plugs.

- The infotainment sucked

My second car was 2022 308 with BlueHDI

Good:

- Nice interior, the physical buttons was an upgrade.

- Good handling, well balanced.

Bad:

- Continuous adblue crystallisation issues, had to dump tons of anti crystallisation liquid and the error still comes back every week or two.

- Fuel consumption on highway is not much better than Puretech. (above 100km/h consumption skyrockets)

- Infotainment system while nice, tends to freeze, drop CarPlay for no reason, few times the entire gauge cluster had to restart while driving.

All in all I don’t think I will be back, the adblue issues were the last straw, the service didn’t even want to do warranty repair of the system, just removed the error.

1KZT massive fuel consumption.

Hello, I’ve got a Toyota Land Cruiser J70 with a 1KZT engine (mechanical pump). Over the last year the car has been mostly idle as it had some issues with passing the government inspection (non homologated exhaust). I have just picked up the car last week and everything seems fine except for one thing. The fuel consumption went from 12l/100km to about 25l/100km. the car is running fine, no power loss, no smoke, no leaks, no weird noises (except brief ticking sound at 2000rpm). what could be the issue? injectors? fuel pump?
