Hey everyone,
I recently passed CIA Part 2 (still recovering from the trauma of finishing this part), and I’ve now started preparing for Part 3.
I’m using Gleim again and planning to supplement it with IIA mock tests. But I’m a bit confused and honestly slightly suspicious about the content.
Part 3 on Gleim only has 6 units, which feels way lighter compared to Part 2.
I even reached out to Gleim to confirm if I’m accessing the correct version. They mentioned that the 2026 version will be released next month, which adds to my dilemma…
Now I’m stuck wondering:
Do I continue studying with the current material and risk having to redo things?
Or wait for the updated version and lose momentum?
A few things I’d really appreciate help with:
For those who used Gleim recently: are there really only 6 units for Part 3?
Has anyone navigated a version update mid-prep? Did you use both versions?
How long did you take to prepare for Part 3?
Any key focus areas you’d recommend?
Also, I noticed there’s less obvious emphasis on IT security and accounting compared to Part 2 (which I personally found brutal). Am I missing something, or is Part 3 just structured differently?
And finally anything that wasn’t well covered in Gleim but showed up in the exam?
Would love to hear your experiences, tips, or even warnings before I dive in properly.
Thanks in advance, this community has been a lifesaver through Part 2 🙌
