Since moving my cat Buttercup hates any kind of rain (even light sprinkles) and will sit in the room and yowl and scream for hours even after it’s over and I’m at a loss on what to do. We’ve made her a little cave with a bed and blankets under our table where she usually goes to sleep but we get really bad storms and nothing seems to help her :(. It’s gotten to the point that every time it rains I have to lay on the floor with her under her table and pet her to keep her semi calm but she’ll still cry and I can’t do that with my new job without losing too much sleep. Any advice from people with similar problems?
I’m 24, in the US. She doesn’t have a vet set up here yet since we just moved but we’re working on getting one set up. She’s about 5-6 years old and is spayed.
