I wrote off IEMs 10 years ago because I thought I hated them. Turns out I only hate the Shure SE215.
Loving IEMs this week for the first time ever! I normally wear on/over-ear headphones, and roughly 10 years ago had a bad IEM experience. I purchased through a legitimate source (B&H) the Shure SE215 in an attempt to try out some IEMs from a reputable brand. I hated them; uncomfortable, lo-fi old-timey radio sound, and cables/earhooks that were so rigid that they were impossible to deal with. Fast forward to this weekend, I see some IEMs, Linsoul 7Hz x Crinacle Zero:2, advertised on Amazon for $24.99. I rolled the dice and am so glad I did. These sound good (maybe just a tad too mid-scooped for my taste), lightweight, with a great cable and earhooks/eartips. What a joy to listen to -- and FUN! I had them on with my Fiio KA15 last night for three hours with no discomfort or fatigue. In doing some quick research for something with a bit more mids, I found the Apos Rock Lobster which came today in the mail. These IEMs are also light years better than the Shures. Just wanted to share my IEM joy with you all. Any recommendations for where to go after having the Zero:2 and Rock Lobster?
