My wife has had Apraxia since birth, a speech impediment resulting in poor motor skills of the voice box which causes significant speech difficulties; stuttering, difficulty finding the right word, etc. She also has a cognitive issue that may or may not be related which causes difficulty understanding basic concepts, delayed reactions and lack of awareness.
The cognitive symptoms have been compounded the last 3 years by a still yet to be diagnosed autoimmune condition that the Chief of Rhemtulology at Penn Medicine, a pioneer in the field, can't even diagnose.
Recently, worsening of all of these symptoms really had me concerned, so I did some research and started her on Citicholine. We are 7 days in and I'm noticing considerable improvement. Her stutter is disappearing, she's using more advanced and harder to pronounce words, and most shockingly to me is her reasoning, it's improving at a remarkable rate.
Does anyone else have similar experiences with this supplement? Or have a family member with Apraxia? Would love to talk to others who can relate about this.
