CW: gross bodily functions 💩🤮

TL;DR am I having extreme side effects or do I keep getting food poisoning because the FDA is dead?

For those of you that have experienced vomiting/diarrhea as a side effect, it extreme and persistent like a stomach bug?

I've been on tirz since June of last year. I was on Zepbound until the end of the year when my insurance stopped covering it and switched to compounded in January. I had mild nausea in the beginning and extremely low appetite, but those symptoms normalized quickly and I haven't had appetite issues since.

Then, in mid-February, I got what I thought was a stomach bug wherein I had diarrhea with a lot of urgency that lasted all day.

I chalked it up to a bug until it happened again a couple weeks later.

And then again. It's happened now about 4 or 5 times in the last few months. It doesn't follow a strict pattern, but symptoms usually start 36-48 hours after my dose. It's not every week which made me think it's likely a coincidence. I also can't pinpoint anything I'm eating that could be causing it. I had about 4 weeks where it didn't happen at all.

But it happened two weeks ago and again today. Last time I vomited for the first time during one of these episodes. Today I woke up feeling fine, ate breakfast, and then vomited multiple times and couldn't keep anything down. It's been a few hours and I feel much better (not 100%), but while it was happening I felt like I did when I had norovirus.

Obviously this isn't normal by any standard, but I'm just trying to figure out if this med can cause *this* level of illness or if something else is going on.

Either way, I'll speak to my doctor, don't worry! I'm also going to lower my dose because now that I think about it, this started when I went up...

Thanks for reading so much about my poop 😵‍💫
