Solar Panel Owners - Charging using EV rate.
Good morning
We recently got solar installed along with a battery. We’ve changed to a plan which has an EV rate.
My plan is to use the EV rate to charge the battery overnight and then to use the battery during the day while exporting back to the grid.
I have a sigenergy battery/inverter.
I currently have it set in time control mode as follows:
00:00 - 02:00 Self Consumption
02:00 - 05:00 Charging
05:00 - 24:00 Self Consumption
From what I can see though it’s still trying to use the solar to power the house and charge the battery.
Battery is 9 kw and the panels are 3.6 kw.
If anybody was able to give a steer that would be appreciated.
