Shortly put, late last October I took my 2005 XC70 Mk2 in to a chain mechanic shop to have both front wheel bearings replaced as I didn't feel like doing it myself, and along the way they suggested that I have them replace the front lower control arm bushings as well due to them being worn which I approved.
The wheel bearing noise was gone after I picked up the car, and they'd charged me for the bushings and separate labour for their replacement, so I didn't think much of it. But today I decided to maintain the front brakes and the front sway bar links, at which point I noticed that the said bushings on both side looked like this which made me suspicious. I know for a fact that they were replaced in early 2021 since I took part in it so they can't be older than that, however I'm not sure if they should look like this after only six months.
