Need help finding a graphic novel.
This one has been haunting me for years, because it was really good, but I cant remember the name or the artist! Woulda been around the 2007-2015 era. Science fiction. NOT Marvel or DC. I vaguely remember the story, and i could be VERY off on some of the details...because my memories bleed other comics together, but I will do my best: There was some kind of superhero or supervillain. The only one of its kind. Kinda like Superman but dark. I think scientists found it drifting in space, or frozen in ice. But it thawed out and it was bad. Scientists studied it. Or something. Long story short, there was a climactic scene at the end where scientists found out that there were many more of these superbeings drifting out in space, either orbiting the earth, the moon, or another planet altogether....and while they were superbeings...they were also 100% evil and psychotic. They were planet killers. Kinda like the Viltrumites from Invincible. Super powered serial killers. And something happened that was going to wake them all up in their space pods and bring them to earth, which would result in everyone being slaughtered. There was a panel that I have burned into my memory, and did my best to draw it. I am not an artist by any means, but did my best. They are all sleeping in their pods, but they are on the verge of all waking up. But somehow the process is stopped just in the knick of time...and everyone on earth is saved. But I cant remember anything else. Did they have fangs? Space vampires? Aliens? I dont recall. Was it futuristic or modern times? I dont know. But I hoped floating space coffins with serial killer superbeings inside might help narrow it down? Please help! What graphic novel is this?!?! I can see that panel so vividly!
