I know this might sound like a dumb question, but I’m genuinely curious. I’ve noticed that some parts of the construction industry are highly specialized like facade engineering, lighting design, curtain wall systems, etc.

That made me wonder about wall treatments and feature walls (decorative panels, cladding, textured finishes, acoustic walls, custom wall systems, and similar work). It feels like there’s a whole technical and design side behind them beyond just “interior finishing.”

I’m interested in how this niche is viewed in the industry and how specialized it actually gets on real projects.
