F(25) about two months ago a 3cm thyroid nodule was found on my right side incidental from a CT for an abscess tonsil. A month after I started experiencing discomfort when swallowing, hoarse, and difficulty breathing when sleeping. I made an appointment with my PCP and he scheduled an ultra sound and biopsy. I did the ultra sound first which resulted in a TR2 score. The nodule grew from 3.2cm to 3.8cm within a month since the CT and ultra sound. My biopsy was scheduled for Monday, but they called and cancelled stating that there was no concern for cancer which I’m thankful for but from what I understand the size alone calls for biopsy and I was hoping they could possibly drain it since my ultrasound showed it was mostly fluid. I have an appointment with him Monday instead bc I called the Dr office very confused as they were just going to let me go on with my life without following up on the other symptoms I’ve been feeling. To add, it’s very visible, not at first glance, but anyone can see it. I’m thinking of going to another Dr.
