Hi everyone, I’m a parent in Queens, NY looking for feedback on ABA providers, especially Yellow Bus ABA and Proud Moments ABA (Queens locations).
My daughter was diagnosed with Level 1 autism and my main goals are improving her speech, social skills, engagement, and play skills. She has receptive language and follows directions, but we want support mainly for communication and social development.
I’m especially interested in hearing from parents who have experience with:
- Yellow Bus ABA (Queens/Douglaston)
- Proud Moments ABA (Queens)
Which is better for a child who needs help mostly with speech and social skills? I prefer a more play-based, child-led approach rather than very rigid ABA.
Questions:
- Which provider has better therapists/BCBA supervision?
- How is parent involvement?
- Do they help with speech/social growth, not just behavior?
- Any experiences with Healthfirst insurance there?
- Any other good ABA or developmental programs in Queens you recommend?
Would love honest experiences—good or bad. Thank you so much.
