SSDI for mental health and neurodivergence

Hey all,

I have a feeling this may have been asked before, but I may as well give it a shot at this point.

For context, im diagnosed with autism, ADHD, depression, BPD and anxiety, as well as an eating disorder. I'll also preface this by saying that im currently medicated and in the process of enrolling in IOP.

Now to the main part. Ive been struggling to hold down any kind of job for the last 4 or so years (shortest was 2 months, longest was 11 months). Granted those were all part time jobs/internships I had in college, I was always happy to leave, whether it was me quitting, getting fired, or contracts expiring. Im currently in my first full time job out of college, and am already considering leaving because everything has become too overwhelming for me to handle. Worst part is im still fairly new (7 months), so that'll leave a pretty bad stain on my resume.

Ive been in therapy for nearly a decade now, and medicated for 4 years. Ive also tried various forms of intensive therapy (currently in the process of signing up for another one) and have been prescribed various medications, with the effects wearing off after about 2 or so months of taking them, no matter which pill it is.

As much as I dont wanna go on SSDI, its something im heavily considering because I cant handle the stress anymore. In the case that I do though, im wondering if anyone has experience in obtaining it primarily for mental health and/or neurodevelopmental and cognitive disabilities. If so, have you been able to work part time at the very least to supplement for the low payments SSDI provides?

Thank you all in advance for your help!

Ive never been able to hold down a job for longer than a year other than a family business I worked at for 5 years. (but that was also with long breaks in between)

Im at my first big girl job out of college and im ready to quit after a mere 7 months in. Some of the main reasons include the way im treated and the lack of flexibility that comes with having a full time job. (ie. very minimal time off) As I mentioned before, however, ive never been able to hold down a job for more than a year (my shortest was 2 months), and I feel like a lot of that has to do with my mental health and cognitive/neurodevelopmental disabilities.

I was once an extremely ambitious person with a lot of goals in mind, and now the weight of my disabilities is catching up to me. Im so burnt and checked out of my job that its affecting my performance by a huge margain. I struggle to get out of bed in the morning and to focus and get my work done. (thats all while being medicated)

I guess what im here for is to see if anyone else has had the same issues ive had and how they've managed. Moreover, im wanting to know of any jobs with high flexibility to accommodate my disabilities. Any advice on where to find any kind of job (it can be freelance or part time, doesnt really matter) that'll do those two things is greatly appreciated!
