updated my soundblaster g6 in sound blast command and afterwards audio stopped working. the program also became unusably slow, like i try and click on anything and it just crashes (i have new pc, so that isnt the problem). after trying other potential fixes ive seen on other reddit threads, none i found seemed to work.
my fix: i uninstalled sound blaster command via the uninstall tool in the files, then manually deleted all the files it left over. i then went to soundblasters downloads page and scrolled to firmware, then downloaded Sound BlasterX G6 Firmware Update for Windows Release date: 1 Feb 21. audio is now fixed. then reinstalled Sound Blaster Command for Windows Release date: 1 Feb 21 and everything works like before.
