Spoke with a recruiter a few weeks ago long story short I was arrested in 2000 at the age of nine for a serious felony. My grandma and public defender made the decision to plea no contest and knocked the chargers down to misdemeanor assault. Around 2011 tried to enlist in the Army and never tried for a waiver. I’m 35 years old now and have been an EMT for about 10 years. I’ve got a spotless record outside of this. As I wait for the recruiter to get all the document from the 2 year trial I’m wondering if I have a snow balls chance in hell? I’d be able to get some great character references from tons of higher ranking first responders too if it helps.
