Has anyone suffered a brachial plexus injury, with nerve damage to arm or hand? My injury was over a month ago; my hand is numb and non-functional. I'm considering surgery, but the neurologist doesn't think I have a great chance of success. I'm devastated by the loss of my hand. Is there someone who can relate to this? I could use some guidance.

I have extensive nerve damage in my hand due to a fall; the neurologist says I have a poor prognosis- has anyone had brachial plexus surgery? The injury is in those nerves above my shoulder, which connect to my hand. It's numb and doesn't function. I'm a little desperate.
