Hip dysplasia stage 4
Hi so my chow has had joint problem genetically but was managing it until recently we saw her limping suddenly and took her to vet who stated she has hip dysplasia and might need surgery but it isn’t possible in my city , luckily I am a college student and I live in another city and I showed her report to a vet here who said it’s stage 4 and needs surgery or has to be completely dependent on pain killers but it can get even worse
The thing is 2 years back I got my pug spayed and her surgery was a success but she got sepsis and died in a month after the operation so am extremely scared of getting my dogs operations done + as I live here for college I live with my aunt she agreed to it but my dog is ferocious if touched and she will have to stay with us for two months for physiotherapy which can only be possible after July when my classes start as it’s summer break where I live
will I be able to take care of her also am scared she won’t be the best in the unfamiliar surroundings
Can anyone who has dealt with something similar give me their experience and their approach or advice also my chow is 5 years old
