I started with a new psychiatrist last week and she asked me if I was doing okay when i was on risperidone, I told her that no i didn’t and that I was sedated most of the time.
She then suggested Abilify to treat some of the depression. I said I’d feel comfortable raising the lamictal but that i didn’t want to start on an antipsychotic again, since i haven’t been psychotic since my manic episode last October.
I also take lithium and asked her if we could possibly start me back on vyvanse (i’ve been on vyvanse for over 10 years now and I know it works for me)

Has anyone been taking an anti-psychotic like Abilify to treat depression?
If so how did it help you and what side effect have you noticed?
