Hi, I was in the process of buying a flat it all went to shit because of rising service charge due to hidden cladding issues.

In summary I’ve pivoted from a new build kind of situation to a share of freehold (which I thought had more manageable costs).

I am now looking for share of freeholds and I’ve found a great one which is affordable for me but it’s a run down flat in a grade II building. I’ve been told this could be a lot of issues.

To be clear the building is well looked after building it is just the interior of the flat that isn’t great, floors (not wood), kitchen bathroom, windows.

Could you give me your opinions based on similar experience?
