Today, I got an ultrasound of my parotid glands. The results were back by the time I parked in my driveway: “moderately heterogeneous with focal anechoic/hypoechoic areas. There are no focal masses. No evidence of increased vascularity on color Doppler. The OMERACT grayscale score for this gland is 2.”

These were the results for both my right and left sides.
IMPRESSION:
Moderate heterogeneity of the parotid and submandibular glands (OMERACT grayscale scores of 2).
My rheumatologist is 95% sure I have Sjogren’s, which is why she sent me for the ultrasound.

Bloodwork:
SSA (RO) 52 AB IGG is 440.1
ANA Titer 1:640 (nuclear dots)
ANA Titer 2 - 1:160 (speckled)

Should I be concerned about the ultrasound results? I hope to hear back from my rheumatologist soon, but in the meantime, I am anxious over all of this. Has anyone had a similar experience? Thanks.

Has anyone here been on lithium and then been prescribed fluconazole? What side effects did you experience? My GI doc just prescribed it yesterday due to esophageal candidiasis.

After reading too much on the internet, I'm having a ton of anxiety about taking the two meds together. She didn't mention anything about any negative interaction, but the internet says this: https://www.drugs.com/drug-interactions/fluconazole-with-lithium-1096-0-1477-0.html

"Using lithium together with fluconazole can increase the risk of an irregular heart rhythm that may be serious and potentially life-threatening, although it is a relatively rare side effect. You may be more susceptible if you have a heart condition called congenital long QT syndrome, other cardiac diseases, conduction abnormalities, or electrolyte disturbances."
