I recently posted asking for recs for my first cruiser. I had it narrowed down to the Loaded Coyote, the Arbor Pilsner, and the Landyachtz Raft. I went to a local shop to try out a Pilsner, but they also had the Sizzler, which was way more comfortable to stand on. The Pilsner has the added bonus of a bigger kicktail, but the deck was pretty concave. I only plan to use this for cruising around the neighborhood, so I went with the more mellow deck profile.

This comes with Paris TKP trucks and 61mm Arbor easyrider wheels.

Any other Sizzler riders out there? What are your thoughts on this board? Have you upgraded / changed out any stock components?

Hi! I’m looking to buy my first cruiser board. I already own a street deck for flat ground tricks - this board will be for getting around my city, going anywhere from a few blocks to a few miles. I want to prioritize comfort, stability, and portability. I’ve been comparing a bunch of options, but I’m definitely getting decision paralysis looking at all the various specs! Here are the ones I’ve considered:

  1. Globe big blazer (17.75” wb)
  2. Globe big bad bruiser (16.5” wb)
  3. Landyachtz rally kitty (18” wb)
  4. Landyachtz dugout (17.25” wb)
  5. Landyachtz tugboat (14.5” wb)
  6. Landyachtz ditch life (15” wb)
  7. Arbor sizzler (17” wb)
  8. Arbor oso (scans very similar to the ditch life specs wise; 15.5” wb)

The Rally Kitty, dugout, and sizzler have nice long wheelbases but seem narrow compared to the other options at under 9” wide. I keep seeing the tugboat and ditch life recommended as good first boards, but they have shorter wheelbases - leading me to think that board width also matters for balance and stability? Would a wider board compensate for a bit of a shorter wheelbase? How does wheel size factor into all this?

I appreciate any thoughts from more experienced cruiser boarders - thank you!

Hi all. Looking for advice on a first board from Landyachtz. I already have a popsicle deck for doing flat ground tricks, so i’m looking for a cruiser for getting around on city streets that can sometimes be cracked/pebbly etc. I’m trying to decide between the dinghy shape nine, the skiff, or the tugboat, leaning kinda away from the Diggy since I’m prioritizing stability and want a wide wheelbase since I already have my street deck. Are there any other boards I should consider? Looking to just buy a complete from land yachtz to keep it simple since this is my first cruiser.
thanks!
