▲ 4 r/DIYRetirement
Rob Berger, and I'm sure others here, have mentioned stepping down from high-paying jobs to reduced paying jobs or self-business ideas (i.e., New Endeavors) once they have hit a financial independence goal. If using 4% is a reasonable target for 30 year's of retirement, perhaps 3% is good for a conservative 40-50 years retirement, is there an approach to use if you have uncertainty in the new endeavor but are likely going to work? While I'm curious about the number, I am more interested about the mindset shift to feel comfortable to leaving a high paying job
