Is this a broken mechanic?
I'm playing as Muscovy and strategically orchestrated a war to get a PU on Ryazan and, at the same time, take on the Golden Horde without any of the other Hordes getting involved. I waited for the events to take place where your leader goes into exile and thought I'd be able to keep the PU without it being broken from a leader switching due to events and all was going well until I realized I can't take a single province from the Golden Horde. At the time I attacked Ryazan was a tributary, and the Golden Horde came to Ryazan's defense something I was delighted about. The war concluded, and I'm eager to snag some of Golden Horde's land, knowing they weren't a co-belligerent and I'd have to pay double AE and warscore cost but I didn't mind at the cost of weakening them but the game doesn't let me select a single province. I'm confused. I directly border the Golden Horde and occupy the adjacent province.
Golden Horde can take land directly from me, but I cant???
Can't take a single province since apparently I can't core these provinces
I have direct control of the adjacent province.
The Golden Horde can core my provinces???
The Golden Horde can take a lot of my land, but I can't even take a single one?
