Camper vans/bus advice?
My bf wants to buy a bus with a permanently attached trailer, and I’m not convinced it’s a good idea—especially since we’re total beginners.
I’m worried it’ll be too big and limiting. Like, will we even fit in standard campsites, beach parking, or festival spots? We go to a lot of music festivals, and I can’t imagine this fitting in a typical 20x10 space (or even being allowed with a car setup like that).
It also seems way harder to maneuver, and he’s not very mechanically inclined (though he does have people who could help). On top of that, I feel like it defeats the purpose of bus life—having flexibility. We rarely would need a car, so we’d be stuck hauling this empty trailer everywhere.
I also just want something simpler, where we can do things like open the back and enjoy the view—not have a trailer blocking everything.
Am I overthinking this, or is this as impractical as it seems? Would love to hear the pros/cons from people with experience.
