I have been here for a while learning from you folks. I am ready to start building a dividend portfolio in taxable. Looking 10 years down the road when I will start utilizing the income. Will DRIPP till then.
Besides tax treatment on dividends.. any other pitfalls to be aware of? An IRA is more forgiving since you can dump a position with no tax penalty and buy something else if you change your mind.
Do you focus more on tried and true classic positions in taxable to avoid any surprises?
