I reached EV like 3-4 months ago for the first time. I also setup basic AE2 autocrafting with liquids on all main machines. By the time I was “ready” to start thinking about new multis for EV, I was feeling quite burnt out and tired, so I decided to take a break.
I am now seeing a lot of posts about 2.9 and it sparked my enthusiasm for the grindy GTNH experience again. I booted up my EV save and I immediately felt super overwhelmed. So many systems and so many pipes everywhere, it was a major bummer.
So I’m now in this limbo: I like the idea of a fresh start, getting machinery ready on steam age, getting the oil refinery going, etc.. But I also know that starting from scratch will be painful due to the grind I don’t even remember right now
So I ask you this: how would you pick up an old save and minimize the overwhelming feeling? Or is it just better to start a new run with the learnings from the first one?
Disclaimer: this EV run was my first run ever, and I know this kind of topic is posted quite frequently. Consider this as mostly a personal rant, but feel free to share your thoughts. Thanks!
