Anki decks

So I've been doing content review for about 2 weeks now and I'm testing on August 7. I've been using the JackSparrow deck because I want to cover all content including low-yield. However, I don't like how a lot of the cards have super long answers and I find that it's not efficient like this.

I tried out milesdown, and I like the style of these cards, but I don't believe it covers everything.

Should I do both milesdown and Jacksparrow? I heard anking also doesn't cover as much low yield content as jacksparrow. Is there another deck (aside from Aidan preferably) that has the same style as milesdown, but covers most low yield content too?

Thanks!

Content Review and Practice Questions

So, I recently started studying for my MCAT and I'm writing on august 7. I'm almost finished both the biochem and orgo kaplan textbooks. I took notes and did the associated JackSparrow anki cards. In addition, I do the 15 textbook questions when I'm done learning a chapter to make sure I understand. There's also additional practice questions on the Kaplan site that I do as well (although it's usually just 2-5 more questions).

I guess my point is that I don't think this practice is enough as it does not cover specific chapter details, rather a broad understanding of each chapter. My question is that I recently bought UWorld and I'm wondering if I should start doing these questions now during my content review because of the importance of confronting the gaps that could be present in my learning, that I would not be able to acknowledge without proper testing.

My options are:

  1. I do the UWorld questions now, but then these good questions are wasted since I'm using them to "learn".
  2. I do the UWorld questions when I'm done content review, but then I lost a lot of the info I had previously taken in from content review.

Could I please get insight into which would be the better option and if there is anything else I can do to try integrating content review with practice. Thanks!

I understand the ABS is supposed to include hobbies, especially if we’re proficient in them and have spent many hours mastering them. Is video games a part of this category or is it seen as a red flag, especially with too many hours. For reference, if I’m ranked as #10,000 on Valorant, a game with 35 million active monthly players, is that good enough for the ABS? I haven’t competed in tournaments or won competitions but I’m still ranked from playing competitively and have about 2000 hours on the game. Is it worth it or no?

How do I get better at cars. I don’t get it, am I just naturally bad at it and can I never get good? I’ve done 50+ passages on JW, then decided to do the half length blueprint diagnostic. I ended up getting a 121 on cars. Even all my JW scores have been low and/or inconsistent. I swear I’m reading and trying to understand, but sometimes I just don’t understand what the passage/question is saying no matter how many times I re-read. I don’t get it. I’m testing August 8, so I still have over 3 months. What can I do every day to see improvement? I’m willing to do whatever it takes, but I need a 130+. Please help 🙏

P.S. all the other sections are good, it’s just cars that I need desperate assistance with!

I’m about 50 passages into JW but I’m not noticing any improvement to when I first started and there’s so much variability in my scores. I’m testing on August 7, and I’m not sure how to continue studying for cars.

I track all my scores and they usually range from 2/6 - 5/6 with no trend. Is this normal for being 50 passages in? I thought I would be consistently scoring 4-5/6 at this point. What can I do if I have about 3 months of practice left?

Please help 😭
