I am a wedding photographer in a town with ZERO wedding venues. The vendor scene here is non existent. I am doing fine enough traveling to the larger cities near me (2-3 hour drive) but I feel like my business has reached a plateau. It feels like I'm working uphill, trying to market to places I don't actually live in.
Curious if anyone has been in a similar situation and what you did about it.
I'm unsure if I just need to network more (tricky with being further away) or if I need to actually live closer to a city with an actual wedding scene.
My partner works from home so we can technically live anywhere we'd like but we love the town we live in and also have 3 younger kids that love their school. I think out kids would adjust just fine to a move but it's still a big decision to make without being certain its necessary.
Any insight into this situation would be appreciated!
