hello everyone!

I just started strength training a few months ago in hopes of being more active and changing my lifestyle a bit. i hired a PT and we have been making great progress visually as well as in terms of strength. i do have one concern. he wrote me a diet around my maintenance calories (2000,2100) and a huge part of it is carbs. and i mean HUGE servings. is eating this even safe for me, as a person with IR? for example, i eat 140 grams of pasta(weighted raw) for my second meal. along with protein and fiber. i am also aiming for 10 k steps a day and do strength training 3 times a week.
