My online friend who i’ve known for almost a year and got close to told me she feels overwhelmed and pressured by me and wants our dynamic to be casual and talk less often. (It’s always been more emotionally deep and we talked everyday mostly)
Idk how to cope i’ve been crying all night because i really valued it and i don’t have anyone else to share such a connection with.
We’ve been online friends for almost a year, talking everyday except for some times where she disappears for around a week (late replies, leaving on seen etc) because of needing space or being busy/stressed.
Our friendship was never casual, we talked often and it a more emotional deep one. We shared our thoughts and talked about emotions with no issue, we could vent to each other just fine.
The problem rose from the fact everytime she disappeared (completely randomly) i started wondering if it was personal and asked her, and she felt pressured by that.
Last week something similar happened and yesterday she told me she wants to keep things more casual and talk less.
The thing is what i really valued in our connection was how it wasn’t casual and how we talked often, so this hit me like a truck.
She became part of my routine and now having her tell me she doesn’t want to invest more into our friendship is hurting me like hell.
I don’t know what to do about this, i really need advice, this is killing me.
