So as background I used to lightly code back when I was in university but it's been years since it's been something I do on the day to day. I have experience with VBA, Java PHP and R.
Basically he's asking for an automated way to pull an image off a website that has to do with sheet music. Right now he navigates to the website, views the source code, searches and copies an .svg file line, opens it in a new tab, saves it a jpg and then converts it to letter size using word.
I'm not looking for a complete solution but some advice on where to start or some resources to look at. Im most familiar these days with R and I know there are web scraping libraries but if this is much easier to do in another language I'm not against reading up on those. It would be ideal to run the script from the command prompt or chrome web plugin.
