It’s been a while. Turns out this is the first piece I’ve recorded in about a year. Life had other ideas for a bit, and I found myself having to step away without really planning to. But the piano was still there waiting, as it always is.

This piece is called The Long Unasked.

I wrote it during a time when I had difficult questions to face up to, that didn’t have easy answers. Questions that sit unresolved for what seems like forever, influencing how you feel without ever fully becoming words.

There’s something about playing this, alone, unpolished, without trying to make it into anything more, that lets those feelings exist as they are.
