How best to ‘close up’ house?

I’m going away for a few months and I’m pedantic and cleaning, tidying and organising. I’ve got quite anxious about my trip and I’m aware I’m trying to do too much to prep the house and probably overthinking it all. I’d be grateful for advice on what I need to do to get my house ready to be unoccupied for a while (just in terms of cleaning, security etc is all sorted) and what I can drop.

One thing I’m worrying about is laundry. Usually I would strip beds the morning of the trip, wash the sheets and any dirty clothing and leave them hanging up to dry on our indoor washing line, but usually I’m away for a max one month. This time I’m away for months, so how do I best manage clothing and bedding that needs washing so nothing is left dirty in the basket?

Thanks

I’ve developed hives after a virus. Had a huge hives reaction and ended up in emergency, and since then (couple of months) I’ve had daily hives mostly on my torso. It’s worse where clothing touches but I’ve got random spots on arms and legs.

I’ve got lupus and in the past had chronic urticaria for two four year stretches with no cause identified. Both times it disappeared for a few years then came back. The first time I got it I’d had Epstein-Barr (glandular fever/mono) and I think that might’ve triggered the lupus too.

What meds can I get to treat hives in Australia? I am taking Zyrtec daily x 2, and I’m on 5mg prednisone daily for my lupus, I also take plaquenil for lupus. In the past I remember steroids and antihistamine made zero difference, and it doesn’t seem to be making much now. To knock out the initial hives reaction I took 25mg prednisone, but the hives are back anyway.

Any suggestions as to what might work and is available in Aus? Thanks
