I’m a ftm to 7 week old, I was gifted the hope and plum baby wrap, it’s beautiful and baby LOVES being in it, but I feel like the bottom passes have a hard time reaching from knee to knee, and I constantly struggle getting his hips just right. Then once he’s wrapped he eventually needs to poop or eat and the process begins again The difficulty of getting him perfectly wrapped has me avoiding baby wearing as much as I would like to, especially since I can tell how much he truly loves being in the carrier.
I really want to try a more structured/non-wrap carrier but don’t know what to choose. I live in a very hot climate, I am plus sized, dad and I are both tall (I am 5’11”, dad is 6’1”), and baby is quite long (above 99th percentile for height) and weighed 11 lbs at his last check up.
I was looking at the lark (mostly just because it’s pretty and plus size friendly), and the happy baby carrier. I’ve heard good things about happy baby, but they have so many different models I have no idea which ones people like?
Any advice or recommendations appreciated!!
ETA: Was also looking at goji berry but concerned it would be too warm because the materials look a bit thicker, but that’s just based on visual impression. Also open to advice on those.
